Schneider Electric is Hiring a Project Operations Manager Near Lexington, NC

Job DescriptionProvides ASCO Welcome based support for PCS Project Managers (internal and external), Sales Engineers, District Managers, and Regional Managers on Key Accounts, Customers and Projects. The individual holding this position will be the Welcome internal champion for any issues arising on these critical projects and the liaison between the Welcome facility and both Florham Park and the field.
Essential Functions
  • Assumes full responsibility and accountability for ensuring communication of order status and coordination of any issues to help facilitate delivery of a premium experience for every ASCO Welcome customer.
  • Responsible for the coordination of all Welcome PCS projects. Participates in activities such as Order Review, Punch List meetings, Post Implementation meetings, Witness tests, and Post Shipment Budget Reviews.
  • Help to coordinate the flow of information between the Welcome operation and various departments at ASCO headquarters and the field organization. Provides support throughout the life cycle of every project including, but not limited to: engineering changes, scheduling process, manufacturing status, witness test, etc.
  • Serve as local contact and central communication focal point for all PCS orders and issues. Filter outside information and requests and coordinate internal activities to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain Master Schedule / Ship plan. Coordinate with production and purchasing to ensure dates and schedules are up to date. Run Ship Plan meeting. Responsible for coordination of PDR requests. Serve as single point of contact for schedule information to FP and the field.
  • Responsible for tracking and coordination of activities and product related to primary PCS jobs, including warranty order status, battery orders, ship short items, witness test punch lists, etc.
  • Serves as the dedicated, highly available and accessible single point of contact to Florham Park and outside project managers for inquiries requiring in-factory resolution.
  • Assist in project budget performance analysis, comparing actual hours and $$ to budgeted estimates. Help define and execute feedback mechanism to improve budgeting estimates.
  • Promptly informs project management and Welcome Operations of any discovered issues with product availability and delivery schedule.
  • Fully understands all potential consequences and impacts of items under discussion/consideration, and is capable of recommending alternate plans of action when required.
  • Communicate project status to all parties involved
  • Expedite, as required, to maintain delivery schedules
  • Assist in the development and issuance of “time lines” for assigned projects
  • Assist as needed in the manufacture of the product with factory personnel
  • Manage the margins
Qualifications
  • BSEE, or ME, preferred, or equivalent U.S. Armed Services experience
  • 3-5 years relevant product and functional experience
  • Outstanding organization and communication skills
  • Excellent written & presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of control circuits, emergency power systems, related industry codes & standards.
  • Demonstrated proficient in scheduling, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
