Schneider Electric is Hiring a Sustainability Data Analyst Near Chicago, IL
What will you do?
- Quantify and generate high-level performance reports, such as operational greenhouse gas emissions, renewable energy, facility energy consumption and performance.
- Compile, clean, validate, and organize data from various sources, including internal databases, external reports, and industry benchmarks, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Utilize statistical methods and tools to analyze trends, patterns, and correlations.
- Present findings in a clear and concise manner, highlighting key metrics and progress toward sustainability goals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (such as operations, facilities - regional and corporate) to integrate sustainability practices.
- Communicate data-driven insights to colleagues, promoting awareness and engagement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to sustainability.
- Create visually appealing charts, graphs, and dashboards to convey complex sustainability data to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively across the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol - Greenhouse Gas Protocol SBTi - Science Based Targets initiative TCFD - Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures GRI - Global Reporting Initiative CDP - Carbon Disclosure Project).
- Business case evaluation and financial modeling.

- Director, Energy and Sustainability
- Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, energy management, engineering, environmental science, data science, or a related field with 3 years of experience.
- Proficiency in data analysis & visualization tools (advanced Excel, Tableau, Python, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
