Schomp Automotive Group is Hiring a Marketing Account Manager Near Greenwood, CO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

THE HIVE is a marketing agency originated out of Schomp Automotive. Our team is built to function as the agency partner for thirteen Automotive Retail Franchises across Colorado, Utah & California. We are a data-driven marketing team that is focused on innovative web experiences for our guests, leveraging the most impactful brand promise in the industry - One Price. One Person. One Hour.® We create digital media, print assets, and web experiences that separate our automotive group from the competition. 

THE HIVE is seeking our next big impact player. The Brand Manager position is key to our success and connects our stores with the talents of our team to fulfill marketing assets, collaborate on successful strategies, and connect with our products and buying experience. 

This is an on-site position. This position will be based in our DTC location, a traditional office space with short travel distances for in-person meetings at our Automotive Retail Locations for our dealerships in Colorado, with the potential for travel to our California and Utah operations. 

The Brand Manager Spec (What you will be doing): 

  • Develop a 90-day marketing plan to meet each store's sales objectives, including, but not limited to, dealer events, sponsorship activations, inventory management, and strategic budget planning.
  • Foster a meaningful relationship with key stakeholders at each store, ensuring transparent communication, clear expectations, and client satisfaction.
  • Develop deep brand knowledge of each manufacturer under your responsibility that aligns with Schomp brand standards and manufacturer standards/compliance.
  • Monitor expenses against the budget and provide each store with monthly expense reporting.
  • Obtain intimate knowledge of COOP programs and budgets within each brand and determine what and how it can be used.
  • Maintain a calendar of national and regional sales events, physical events in sales and service. Occasionally, you will be responsible for planning and executing regional or national events.
  • Schomp takes pride in being first to market, leveraging manufacturer initiatives, and aligning them with our marketing programming.
  • Understand automotive retail tech intimately, including CRM, dealer websites, and manufacturer portals.
  • Be the authority in monthly marketing meetings, bringing key insights and strategy plans to the store within our standardized cadence
  • Curiosity mindset in media evaluation with the intent to understand the cause-and-effect relationship on traffic generation and success outcomes
  • Utilize HIVE Analytics, a suite of BI dashboards to strategize decision-making and monitor the performance of downstream marketing efforts. 
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.

  • Tech savvy - type fast, learn new platforms quickly, proficient in spreadsheets. Ideally, it’s not your first time updating a website and can be self-sufficient in tech when needed.

Education, Experience, and Certification:

Brand Manager Background (Things you have done in the past that will indicate positive outcomes)

  • Four-year college degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, CIS, Psychology or something similar. 
  • This position requires critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic creative thinking. This position works with the creative team (graphic design, photography, videography) but is not a graphic design position. 
  • Previous agency experience preferred and exposure to managing multiple priorities/clients or an in-house marketing team that served multiple lines of business, products or initiatives. The critical aspect is demonstrated experience in managing multiple marketing initiatives at the same time and having strategies to organize yourself to prioritize needs and manage deadlines.
  • Demonstrable experience in presenting strategic, quarterly plans and results to key stakeholders. 
  • Value the in-person work experience. Subscribe to the thought that a team that works together, succeeds together. This is not a remote position, and working from home is not the standard. Working together, solving problems together, and having the full context as a benefit of being in the same place physically is a value we believe in. 
  • Experience planning and executing events or sponsorship activations is a plus but not required.

  • Been part of a team for a decent amount of time - or have reasonable explanations for holding various jobs over short time periods.

  • You don’t need to know a lot about the business of Automotive. It’s more important that you know a lot about the science of marketing, and relationship building. Some of our greatest team members have no previous experience in automotive. 
  • You have had to be the problem solver in tech for a previous job - which indicates that you can learn new things quickly, and we don’t have to spend as much time teaching you the tech of Automotive. 
  • You have been a server, waiter, caddy, front desk in your past. This indicates you can think on your feet and have experience in serving and communicating with others as a front-line representative of a business.

  • Tableau for visualizing data and presenting analytics to others
  • Meta Suite - both paid and organic functions

The Clinical Stuff:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. (You will need to drive cool cars to activations at times) 
  • Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). (We can’t insure you driving said cool cars to events if you have a poor driving history)

  • Regular, punctual attendance is required, some work outside of the typical 9-5 pm schedule will be expected.

  • This position operates in a professional environment Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.
  • Must maintain a clean, safe working environment at all times.
