School-Connection is Hiring a Teacher (Part Time) Near Diamond, CA
Job Description:
Part-Time Teacher Needed! We are looking for teachers who are able to work in-person during the school year.
School-Connection is an after-school program and Summer Camp with campuses located in the cities of Walnut and Diamond Bar. Our teachers assist K-8th grade students with their school homework and prepare them for a successful academic experience. As part of our standardized curriculum, our programs also includes in-class teaching of supplemental materials in both math and English.
Job Qualification: We seek hardworking and resourceful individuals who are very detail-oriented, multi-taskers, reliable, responsible, organized and able to communicate effectively. As with all educational settings, such individuals must also possess strong academic performance, and be especially patient, firm, and caring in dealing with children. Sufficient training will be provided for successful applicants.
Fall and Spring Semester Teachers:
*Teaching English and Math using curricula provided for K-8. *Creating and grading tests and homework worksheets for students. *Correcting homework and tests. *Monitoring students during homework and break time. *Explaining English and Math concepts. *The hours are M-Th or M-F from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Diamond Bar) or M-Th or M-F 3:15 pm - 6:15 pm (Walnut). We can also work with partial availability.
Requirements:
- Grade Levels: College Freshman – Senior, Graduate, Masters, Alumni
- Minimum grade point average of 3.2
- Prompt and consistent attendance
- Documents required: Resume and Unofficial Transcripts
- Must be available during the school year M-Th or M-F from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Diamond Bar) or 3:15 pm - 6:15 pm (Walnut). We can also work with partial availability. If you have other availability, please speak with us.
- Must pass a math and English competency test
Rate: $15.50/hr - $20/hr
We have two locations:
- *Diamond Bar Campus: 2040 S. Brea Canyon Rd. #230, Diamond Bar, CA 91765
- *Walnut Campus: 20781-5 Amar Rd., Walnut, CA 91789
We are looking for teachers for both locations.
