Job Description:Position Title: Packaging Operator - Cup 1 Line BreakerDepartment: Cream Cheese

  • Offering $2/hr Night Shift Premium for any hours worked 7p-7a! **
Base Rate: $21.19
Position Purpose:Act as cup line breaker for paperwork. Assist with gathering materials for operations of Cup line. Ensures all areas are functioning as needed. Checks orders and assist with minimizing downtime. Performs other line duties as needed to ensure line runs accordingly. Provides relief breaks partners on that line. Perform other duties and help in other areas as needed. Works closely with TA/TL on operations of the line and equipment. Work with Leaders and fellow partners to ensure Food Safety and Partner Safety. Understand and execute standard operating procedures relative to position. Perform all PCP and CCP checks required for position. Follow reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement outages and by contacting TA/TL.
Essential Functions:
  • Ascertains the days production supplies such as raw material(s), labels, foil, and boxes.
  • Runs line breaks, operators breaks and/or vacation.
  • Reads production order or follows oral instructions to determine cheese type, style and packaging material required.
  • Sets specifications as indicated by the product, package size and production order.
  • Operates switches on the control panel to start, stop, and fine tune the machine.
  • Observes operation of all machines to detect and correct inconsistencies.
  • Periodically train operators on other shifts in the operation and preventative maintenance of cup line equipment.
  • Understands duties and responsibilities for all positions on the line and can demonstrate proficiency in each of them.
  • Assist in operations as needed including general sanitation and a portion of the QA responsibilities.
  • Ability and willingness to interact in a positive, professional and team-oriented manner with people at many levels and in many roles.
  • Ability and willingness to lead and maintain an attitude of flexibility and cooperation in all interactions. May help on other lines as needed.
  • Assist in development and implementation of SOP’s, PCP’s and GMP’s.
Educational/Experience/Skills Required: (Minimum Level)
EDUCATION: High School Diploma/G.E.D.EXPERIENCE:Type: Operator Experience preferred – will train inexperienced operatorsNumber of Years: N/A

  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
  • Training in Food Safety and Safe Work. Additional certifications will enhance the partner’s potential for success!
  • Compliance with safety procedures, GMP’s, requirements and designated PPE
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • High noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.
  • During sanitation activities, potential exposure to chemicals and wet conditions is likely.
