Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Akron, NY for a Powder Coater at Schrock Metal Products. As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for applying powder coating materials to metal surfaces using various application methods and equipment. You will work with a team to ensure high-quality finishes and efficient production processes. Attention to detail, adherence to safety guidelines, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace are essential parts of this role.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Powder Coater or in a similar role
• Proficiency in preparing metal surfaces for powder coating, including cleaning, sanding, and masking
• Familiarity with different types of powders, application techniques, and curing processes
• Ability to operate and maintain powder coating equipment, such as guns, booths, and ovens
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Knowledge of safety procedures and precautions related to powder coating
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions
• Good time management skills and the ability to meet production deadlines
