We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter/Laborer to join our team. As a Painter/Laborer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to painting and general labor duties. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, patience and the ability to work effectively in new environments. Our company is based in Salem but often travel to surrounding areas for work. Flexible hours but our small company needs reliable employees.
Duties:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding as necessary, caulking, etc.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Match paint colors according to specifications
- Repair and patch damaged areas prior to painting
- Assist with general labor tasks such as moving materials, cleaning work areas, and maintaining tools and equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and friendly work environment
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation is a must
- Previous experience in painting and general labor roles
- Knowledge of framing, carpentry techniques, or power tools is a bonus
- Ability to listen and follow instructions
- Proficiency in basic math calculations for measuring and mixing paint
