Min - Max Salary - $51,176.71 - 60,388.52 (based on experience) 1.0 FTE

TRANSPORTATION MANAGER/TRAINER

Reports to:Superintendent

CERTIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS

  1. CDL Drivers License
  2. Core Trainer
  3. Good driving record
  4. Experience preferred, knowledge of bus/auto mechanics, computer/technology skills

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Including but not limited to:

  1. Supervise and evaluate bus drivers.
  2. Plan routes for time efficiency and student safety.
  3. Train new drivers and maintain current drivers certifications through classes and testing behind the wheel.
  4. Train teaching and coaching staff to drive mini buses as required to transport players/students to activities.
  5. Coordinate the repair and maintenance of all district transport vehicles.
  6. Keep maintenance records for all district transport vehicles.
  7. Follow the laws and regulations of the State of Oregon.
  8. Follow the policies of the District as adopted by the Board of Directors; prepare monthly reports for District and prepare yearly transportation Annual Report for ODE.
  9. Work with administrators, AD and staff to coordinate transportation to activities and events.
  10. Obtain DOT driving record history on all drivers.
  11. Takes all reasonable precaution to provide for the health and safety of the students and protect equipment, materials and facilities.
  12. Immediately report information regarding abuse of any kind to the appropriate administrator or social service agency. 
  13. Be responsible for district keys as assigned.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Contract with the district for wages, and benefits as determined by the District Board of Directors. Obtain a criminal history background and fingerprint check. Carry current First Aid and CPR card.
