Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Senior Director of Member Relations and Outreach for our distinguished lineage-based membership organization in Washington, D.C.! This incredible role will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of membership growth strategies, as well as the day-to-day management of member engagement. This position is for immediate hire and works hybrid (on-site and remote)!
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees a team of senior-level professionals.
• Develops and directs a growth strategy, identifying opportunities to expand membership and enhance engagement.
• Creates and promotes programs, resources, and benefits that meet the evolving needs of our community.
• Utilizes data-driven insights to monitor membership trends, identify areas for improvement, and measure the success of initiatives.
• Collaborates with other departments to develop a communications strategy, ensuring broader awareness of the value of membership.
• Builds and develops a team responsible for the overall membership experience.
• Works with state-level leadership to provide necessary guidance and support for engaging members at state and local levels.
• Evaluates the existing dues structure and makes recommendations for future strategic changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, business administration, or related field
• 7-10 years of experience, including 5 years managing membership departments in member-based organizations
• Proven ability to build, develop, and lead diverse teams
• Deep understanding of membership value creation and engagement strategies
• Inspiring leader with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others
• Proficient in membership database management and Microsoft Office suite
• Adaptable decision-maker, anticipating future needs in evolving environments

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:This wonderful opportunity offers the ability to make a significant impact leading member relations and outreach for an established organization committed to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing Americas future through education.
