We will work around your schedule to accommodate schooling, the float pool will give you the ability to work in all departments from ED, ICU, Surgery, Med Surg, and Rehab.
Logan Regional Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Extern PRN/Flex to learn in our FLOAT POOL. This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse to learn all different kinds of care. The Nurse Extern will perform the following duties:
- Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
- Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
- Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff
- Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read, write, understand direct written instruction, and receive and transmit information.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Must be enrolled in a nursing program, LPN or RN .
- Must attend a Friday Orientation in hospital for the full day.
