Position Highlights

• Title: Process Engineer
• Full Time Direct Hire

Job Requirements

Responsible for providing support for the E-Coating (electrodeposition) Department and Team

• Track tooling and equipment status
• Coordinate customer meetings and visits when pertaining to e-coat process
• Monitor e-coat paint lines for proper function
• Tracking activities to reduce scrap and defect improvements
• Perform paint trials for optimum e-coat conditions for a variety of different parts hanging methods
• Control of ISO documentation of the paint engineering department
• Provide CAD dimensions and data for vendors of new part hangers
• Track and order all inventory required to maintain e-coat process
• Oversee the function and maintaining wastewater treatment equipment
• Oversee preventive maintenance program for e-coat process
• Develop and maintain the paint departments budget
• Train and oversee daily tasks of the paint techs and paint lab testing
• Ensure compliance with all required part quality and wastewater testing

Skills/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or other relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in the automotive industry or similar field
• Knowledge of e-coating (electrodeposition) processes required
• 6-Sigma/Lean training Nice to Have
