PositionOverview :

The Service DeskSupport Assistant will be the first line of support for ouremployees helping to resolve technical issues and ensure smoothdaily operations.

The ideal candidate will be techsavvy with strongproblemsolving abilities and excellent communication skills. Thisrole is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others and is eagerto grow within the IT field particularly in the constructionindustry.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Providefirstlevel technical support to employees addressing hardwaresoftware and networkrelated issues.
  • Respond toservice requests and incident reports via phone email or inpersonensuring prompt and effectiveresolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common ITproblems escalating more complex issues to higherlevel supportteams when necessary.
  • Assist in setting up andconfiguring computer systems software and peripherals for newemployees and project teams.
  • Maintain accuraterecords of support requests and resolutions in our IT servicemanagement system.
  • Monitor and manage ITequipment inventory ensuring that all devices are in good workingcondition and properly allocated.
  • Provide basictraining to employees on using company systems software and ITpolicies.
  • Collaborate with the IT team toidentify opportunities for improving service desk processes andoverall ITsupport.

Qualifications :

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent; an associates degree or certificationin ITrelated fields is a plus.
  • Previousexperience in a service desk IT support or help desk rolepreferably within the construction or relatedindustry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of commonsoftware hardware and networkingissues.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical conceptsto nontechnical users.
  • Strong organizationalskills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to workindependently and as part of a team in a fastpacedenvironment.
  • Familiarity with IT servicemanagement software and tools.
  • Acustomeroriented mindset with a commitment to providing highqualitysupport.
