Scott Humphrey Corporation is Hiring a Project Manager Near Sacramento, CA

Position Overview:

Seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to oversee multifamily and commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex construction projects, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multifamily and commercial construction projects through all phases, including planning, design, construction, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and overall project completion.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost control measures to ensure projects remain within financial constraints.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure that all project objectives and expectations are met.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications are being adhered to.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process, making adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and any changes to scope or budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in project management within the multifamily or commercial construction sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to navigate and manage the permitting process and ensure all necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certifications are a plus.
