Medical Technologist
Full-time, day shift (7am - 3:30pm, every other weekend and rotating holidays)
$5,000 Sign-on Bonus
$10,000 FOR STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENTS - FULL TIME
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist at Regional Hospital of Scranton, you’ll join a team and be a part of a culture that's dedicated to improving lives. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology is required.
- Requires graduation from an accredited Medical Technology program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
- Laboratory training through an accredited laboratory school is preferred.
- One to two years experience in a generalist role is preferred.
- Will consider candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a related field (biological or chemical sciences) and who are eligible for certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP).
About the Job:
- Performs manual and automated routine blood tests.
- Prepares specimens for microscope examination.
- Operates state of the art laboratory equipment . Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
