Job Description :

PRIMARY PURPOSE / GENERAL DESCRIPTION :

Reporting to the Director of Events and Conference Services, the Production Coordinator assists with planning and coordination of programs and events.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

This information is intended to be a descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The list of essential functions below does not identify all duties performed by any single incumbent in this position.

Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Assist with planning and coordination of programs and events.
  • Monitor implementation of program processes and standard operating policies.
  • Support program growth and development through project planning.
  • Coordinate program communications.
  • Manage technical staff projects, work assignments, and schedules.
  • Coordinate interactions / relationships between staff, clients, administrators and program stakeholders.
  • Schedule and organize program-related meetings and events.
  • Coordinate the use of technology for programs and events.
  • Foster and facilitate positive relationships between the events team, campus partners, and the greater community.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES :

  • Requires knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in college audio-visual and auditorium / theater facilities.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations.
  • Must possess a client-services attitude, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to provide direction to others.
  • Must possess the necessary skills and abilities for training and orientation of new employees and / or student employees.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS :

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and ability to perform the job.

Previous experience in audio-visual and technical production assignments is preferred.

HOURS & CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS :

This is a regular status, full-time, benefits eligible, non-exempt level position.

The regular hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8 : 00 a.m.-5 : 00 p.m. Hours will vary due to the needs of the College or the department.

Evening and weekend availability is required.

Hourly rate range : $22-$24.50. The hourly rate of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
