Job Title: Director, Human Resources

Job Location: Mission, Kansas

Job Summary: ScriptPro is looking for an experienced human resources leader who will be responsible for developing HR strategies, overseeing HR operations including payroll, and ensuring compliance. This role supports the human factor, leads HR initiatives, and provides guidance. Strong leadership, effective communication, business savvy, attention to detail, problem solving, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

The Director, Human Resources originates and leads human resources practices, processes and objectives that will provide a high performance, employee oriented culture that emphasizes engagement and productivity. Recruitment of talent for the ongoing development of a superior workforce is a primary objective for this role. This key leadership role serves as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and senior leaders thus building strong working relationships is critical for success.

Reporting Relationship: Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer

Work Schedule: Generally, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. This role is on a hybrid work schedule; mix of remote and in office (minimum 3 days per week). Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.

Remote Work Requirements:

  • Must have high-speed reliable internet access
  • Must have a distraction free home office workspace
  • Must be willing to participate in video virtual meetings (camera on)

Scope of Role:

  • Collaborate with senior management and company leaders to build a culture that is employee-centric and fosters trust, inclusion, retention and high-performance
  • Lead and execute core HR processes delivering excellence in program administration, compliance, and compensation and benefits
  • Manage an equal opportunity recruitment process to meet staffing needs and ensure that the best qualified, talented employees are hired timely and efficiently
  • Lead the payroll function ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and employment tax compliance
  • Lead and develop a team of HR professionals fostering continued growth and expertise
  • Serve on the Retirement Plan Committee and as Plan Administrator ensuring contemporary approach, accuracy of data, and completion of annual audit activities
  • Build strong working relationships with senior leaders and managers providing expert level advice to solve people problems
  • Drive continuous leadership learning with various strategies including annual management training
  • Coordinate employee communication strategies such as Town Hall Meetings, Employee Roundtables, and Leadership Roundtables
  • Drive a market approach to compensation providing insight and data and planning
  • Manage the annual health & welfare planning including vendor relationships, open enrollment and employee communication
  • Build and communicate an annual Affirmative Action Plan working to close gaps where needed

Education, Experience and Attribute Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of increasingly responsible human resources experience
  • Experience managing and developing a team
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and human resources practices
  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems and strong computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated business acumen, high level of professionalism and emotional maturity
  • Self-starter, proactive, takes initiative, demonstrates sense of urgency, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Operations mindset and approach is a must
  • Demonstrated problem solving skillset

Working Conditions: This position operates in an office environment. Routine use of standard office equipment is required. Must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, and expected to occasionally lift, stoop, bend, and reach. Ability to learn and solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions is required.
