We are looking for a seasoned benefits consultant looking to join an established successful Agency!

Candidate must be well-experienced with all Benefits – Medical, Vision, Dental, Life, Ancillary Lines as well as Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, and must be proficient with self-funding, including benefit captives. We are looking for you to provide strategic relationship management and consultative services to self-funded and fully insured employers.

The right candidate would be able to deliver exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate must be located in the state of Maryland or within driving distance. This employment opportunity can be remote, hybrid or in person.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Build, expand, and solidify relationships with existing clients at all levels within the company.
• Retain existing client base by answering product and service questions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform group open enrollment meetings for self-funded and fully insured clients both in-person, and virtually.
• Present annual renewal meetings to employers and their respective CEOs, CFOs, and HR Executives as applicable within each employer.
• Market annual renewals for all employee benefits according to company needs and expectations.
• Research and prepare client presentations by evaluating current product results, identifying needs, monitoring competitive options, and analyzing and relaying customer experience.
• Ensure all client deliverables are met in a timely manner while constantly striving to exceed expectations.
• Sustain customer records by updating account information in applicable database systems.
• Remain abreast of the health insurance environment and constantly changing insurance legislation.
• Properly handle highly confidential and sensitive member and employer data.
• Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of Account Management in the Health Insurance field. (Required)
• Experienced with Medical, Vision, Dental, Life, Ancillary Lines, Short-Term, Long-Term Disability. (Required)
• Experienced with self-funding, including benefit captives. (Required)
• Candidate must be located in the state of Maryland. (Required)
• Life Health License. (Preferred)
• Travel to applicable conventions and seminars to obtain proactive and innovative industry knowledge.
• Working knowledge of the industry, group insurance products and services.
• Analytical skills with effective presentation capabilities.

• Outstanding organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external audiences, including public speaking/presentations, etc.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and display a professional demeanor in all situations.
• Advanced Microsoft Skills - Specifically Excel.
