JOB SUMMARY
The Catalog Team members are responsible for the maintenance of the Global Item Catalog, which consists of responding to email correspondence, reviewing new ICN (Internal Catalog Number) requests, supporting of Fixed Price Agreement (FPA) maintenance and Rig Activations, cooperation/coordination with Catalog team members, supporting Offshore Material Administrators (OMAs) and researching/reporting creation to support supervisor and executives.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The standardization, consolidation and accuracy of our item Catalog.
  • Timeliness and quality of responses to support requests from the business (i.e. OMAs)
  • Promotion of enhancements to existing Catalog entries to ensures only relevant ICNs populate the Catalog and redundant ICN's are identified and properly removed from the system.
  • Catalog data integrity with regards to pricing and manufacturer/vendor details.
  • Newly requested items are setup properly and do NOT already exist in the Catalog.
  • Work closely with the Technical Group to define and associate the correct ICNs with work orders for preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure individual goals and objectives are clearly defined and support the overall supply chain and corporate strategic initiatives as they relate to the Catalog.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and sharing best practices with regards to Catalog.
  • Proper research and review has been done on all items prior to activation.
  • Proper documentation of item status changes in order to maintain adequate traceability.
  • Change management processes are effectively executed when required.
  • Actively participate in projects or process optimization initiatives offering suggestions or constructive feedback that will improve outcome.
  • That clear daily operational guidelines are provided to all direct reports.
  • All applicable reports and logs as required by the supervisor are maintained.
  • Other duties are performed as and when required and/or directed by his/her direct supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


Essential

  • 3 years of experience in the drilling industry, preferably related to supply chain and/or material handling
  • Working knowledge of materials used in the drilling industry
  • Proficient computer skills, competency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with material management and/or ERP systems
  • Data Entry with speed and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Oracle MRP, IFS and/or IBM Maximo preferred but not prerequisite
  • Careful attention to detail, always ensuring data accuracy
  • Self-starter, embraces empowerment and works with sense of urgency to identify and prioritize critical tasks

    Desired

    • Comprehensive knowledge of Maximo functionality is a plus


    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS


    Minimum Requirements

    • High School Diploma required.
    • Computer literacy. Ability to manipulate Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets is a MUST.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Able to work independently and as a team player.
    • Proficient in verbal and written English language skills.
    • Innovative, structured and organized mindset.
    • Task management and prioritization.


    Preferred

    • Associate’s degree in business administration or data processing, preferred.
