Description

Position Summary 

SeamonWhiteside is in search of an ambitious and talented professional to serve as a Construction Administration Team Leader in our growing Greenville, SC office.

SW is seeking a Construction Administration Team Leader who will manage our Construction Administration team and will be responsible for leading the QA/QC process for projects throughout the company and perform “check set” reviews of plans on projects the company is actively working on. This position will also help with due diligence research on projects, working directly with project managers and will focus on problem solving as issues arise throughout the QA/QC process to ensure project closeout occurs before the deadline.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Education: 4 year Engineering or Construction Management degree

Experience: 10 years' experience

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assist project managers in construction admin responsibilities of all assigned projects throughout the entire course of construction (pre-con through closeout)
  • Monitor and intervene as necessary on the coordination with clients, contractors, and government agencies to provide solutions to field issues, review change orders and pay apps, evaluate as builts, and coordinate project closeout
  • Monitor and assist CA Project Managers on suggested solutions to problem solving and troubleshooting issues arising in the field
  • Review of all proposals/contracts (scope of work, establish appropriate fees and evaluate risks for projects and assess company liability related to contract terms and conditions)
  • Monitor and intervene as necessary in the managing of client’s expectations on project requirements, deliverables, agency regulations, scheduling and project deadlines
  • Review team’s invoices for client billing
  • Mentor all civil and CA project managers on project and client management skill sets
  • Assist PM's with due diligence research on assigned projects with the ability to identify potential risk factors to a project
  • Full applicable responsibility, accountability and engagement in the QA/QC review and check set on assigned projects
  • Manage the assignment of projects to other team members appropriately based on resources and workload capacity
  • In conjunction with principals, responsible for team staffing needs, team organizational structure, work assignments, interviewing, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations (if required)
  • Facilitate communication of policies, needs, and important announcements to employees

  • Ability to perform a "check set" review of plans to a high standard including the ability to identify constructability issues as well as plan errors and omissions
