Job Description
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the order-to-cash process, ensuring the timely and accurate collection of payments from customers. Your duties will include invoicing, payment processing, account reconciliation, and resolving any issues related to accounts receivable. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in maintaining the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoicing: Generate and send invoices to customers based on sales orders and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Payment Processing: Monitor and process incoming payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card transactions. Apply payments to customer accounts and update records accordingly.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivablebalances, investigating and resolving discrepancies or variances. Ensure all payments are accurately recorded and accounts are up-to-date.
- Collections: Follow up on overdue accounts through phone calls, emails, and letters. Negotiate payment plans or settlements with customers to recover outstanding balances.
- Customer Account Management: Maintain and update customer records, including contact information, payment terms, and credit limits. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to billing or payments.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on accounts receivablestatus, aging analysis, and collection activities. Provide insights and recommendations to management for improving cash flow and reducing delinquent accounts.
- Order to Cash Process: Oversee the entire order-to-cash cycle, ensuring smooth transitions from order entry to invoicing and payment collection. Coordinate with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve any issues that may impact the order-to-cash process.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
