Store Specialist:

Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to engage potential customers for the purposes of self-storage rentals while maintaining relationships with current customers.

• Manage time and schedule for property tours
• Ensure accuracy of information in rental program
• Direct potential customers through the rental process
• Communicate the specifics of rental agreements to customers and potential customers
• Promote ancillary sales related to storage and moving industry
• Listen and communicate effectively and pleasantly with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Respond to questions specific to property and organization
• Participate in activities related to marketing or selling the property
• Administer, assist, and/or manage day-to-day office operations
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry standards regarding leasing, including continuing education on those standards
• Maintain the cleanliness of the office, public spaces and model units. Ensure units are cleaned to our standards after a tenant moves out.
• Maintain truck rental fleet standards, use courtesy vehicle for deliveries, move in assistance
• Ensure proper management, storage and handling of chemicals following MSDS, local, city, state and federal procedures and standards, and policies established by the organization
• Report customer service, operational and safety and security concerns to management to resolve in an efficient and timely manner
• Comply with all organization policies, procedures and standards, as well as brand standards
• Comply with all local, city, state and federal laws, ordinances and regulations
• Provide customer service in a friendly and professional manner to guests, residents, staff and vendors of the property
• Completes all other projects or requests as directed by Supervisor.

Qualifications

• 1 years of customer service experience (retail sales, restaurant, hospitality/hotel, front desk, site management, and/or other customer-centered sales roles)
• Familiarity with property management software specific to self-storage operations and marketing preferred
• Strong computer skills (proficient in Word/Excel, record maintenance and merchandise inventory)
• Strong Social Media skills (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
• Valid Driver’s License with access to reliable transportation and working with rental trucks
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Physical ability to do the job (lifting up to 50 pounds and walking large sites is required)
