Project Manager - ICI ConstructionJob Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead and oversee ICI (Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional) construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing Health-Care, Institutional (Schools/Community Centers) Construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Initiation:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges and mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to finalize project specifications.
  • Project Execution:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring all construction activities adhere to project plans and safety standards.
    • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
    • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Budget and Cost Management:
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and control costs.
    • Authorize and approve purchase orders, change orders, and invoices.
    • Conduct regular financial reviews and forecasts to ensure the project stays within budget.
  • Scheduling and Coordination:
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases.
    • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure alignment and effective communication.
    • Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise during the construction process.
  • Quality Control and Assurance:
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure all work meets the required standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
    • Manage punch lists and ensure all deficiencies are addressed before project handover.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
    • Monitor and manage project risks, making adjustments as necessary to minimize impact.
    • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed project documentation, including contracts, reports, schedules, and correspondence.
    • Prepare regular progress reports for clients and senior management.
    • Document lessons learned and project close-out reports.
RequirementsQualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the ICI construction sector.
  • Proven track record in managing new builds, renovations, and fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.
