Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Initiation:
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to finalize project specifications.
- Project Execution:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring all construction activities adhere to project plans and safety standards.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
- Budget and Cost Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and control costs.
- Authorize and approve purchase orders, change orders, and invoices.
- Conduct regular financial reviews and forecasts to ensure the project stays within budget.
- Scheduling and Coordination:
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise during the construction process.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure all work meets the required standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
- Manage punch lists and ensure all deficiencies are addressed before project handover.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Monitor and manage project risks, making adjustments as necessary to minimize impact.
- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including contracts, reports, schedules, and correspondence.
- Prepare regular progress reports for clients and senior management.
- Document lessons learned and project close-out reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the ICI construction sector.
- Proven track record in managing new builds, renovations, and fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
