Position: Senior Accountant

Reports to: Controller

Overview: Our rapidly growing firm, located near Norcross and Duluth, GA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This position has arisen due to our continued growth and success. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of several CPAs, with a clear and achievable growth path to Assistant Controller within one year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Participate in the implementation of new accounting standards and systems.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall company objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
