Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine patients' functional abilities and limitations
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' goals, needs, and abilities
- Implement therapeutic interventions, such as exercise programs, sensory integration activities, and functional training
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques, equipment, and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide interdisciplinary care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, progress, and discharge summaries
- Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy through continuing education and professional development
- Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of employment
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and priorities
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems
