We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our long term care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping individuals achieve their highest level of physical function and independence.

Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to implement customized treatment programs for residents in a long term care setting.
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and activities of daily living to improve mobility and strength.
- Provide hands-on therapy and utilize therapeutic equipment to aid in the rehabilitation process.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans and goals for residents.
- Educate and instruct residents and their families on exercise programs and techniques for continued therapy at home.

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effectively working with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassion, patience, and empathy for elderly and disabled individuals.
