Seattle Colleges is Hiring a Program Coordinator - Running Start Near Seattle, WA

Position Summary

South Seattle College is looking to hire a Program Coordinator in the Running Start department.

Salary Range for this position is $43,813.73 to $52,846.42 annually, depending on experience
.

Position Summary
This is a full-time classified position in the Running Start office at South Seattle College requiring demonstrated outstanding skills in customer service, and cross-cultural communication and understanding. The Program Coordinator reports to the Program Specialist 4 and supports all office functions of the Running Start program, communicating Advising services, policies and procedures to current and prospective Running Start students and their families. This position handles a high volume of emails and phone calls while maintaining organized digital files and inventory of quarterly enrollment documents.
This position is governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with representation by WFSE and subject to union shop provisions.

What you will be working on:

Support students with navigating the Running Start enrollment process.
Monitor and manage Running Start email account and voice mail.
Update email templates for Running Start inquiries and enrollment.
Keep public-facing Running Start documents up to date online and monitor supply of paper documents in the Running Start office.
Collect and organize students' quarterly Running Start documents, and maintain digital files connected to the RS enrollment process.
Review and process Enrollment Verification Forms, RS Student Contracts, Fee Waivers and book loan forms.
Track and maintain a list of prospective Running Start students eligible to register each quarter (facilitating appointment scheduling for new Running Start students).
Support administration of the Running Start book loan process.
Effectively use a student management system to view relevant student information.
Create and maintain up-to-date contact list of High School Registrars and Counselors.
Support the distribution of enrollment and grade reports to high schools.
Collaborate with the Running Start team in the organization and delivery of Running Start Information Sessions, New Student Orientation and logistics for other Running Start events.


What you bring as a candidate:
(Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)

High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience
OR Equivalent education/experience
Highly skilled in using Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, strong customer service and time management skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to track and manage large amounts of digital and paper documents/files/lists
