Do you want to gain hands-on experience in a fun and friendly pediatric dental office? Seattle Pediatric Dentists is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Dental Assistant Intern.

As a Dental Assistant Intern, you will have the opportunity to work side by side with our experienced dental team, learning valuable skills and knowledge to kickstart your career in the world of dentistry. This internship program is designed to provide real-world experience and training in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Our internship program provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop skills under the guidance of experienced pediatric dentists.

Location:

Our dental office has 2 locations conveniently located in the Laurelhurst and Magnolia neighborhoods of Seattle, with easy access to public transportation and plenty of free parking options nearby.

Our practice is open 4 days a week from 6:30am-4:15pm - 35-38 hrs/wk.

We are open in Laurelhurst Monday & Tuesday, and in Magnolia Wednesday & Thursday.

The right candidate must be able to work in both locations, during our scheduled office hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Educating patients on good dental hygiene practices.
  • Taking dental x-rays
  • Maintaining patient records and ensuring confidentiality
  • Providing chair-side support to the dentist and performing basic dental procedures under supervision
  • Assisting chairside with various dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, and extractions
  • Preparing and sterilizing instruments
  • Ensuring a clean and organized work environment
  • Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as needed
  • Providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their parents

Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma
  • 3-5 years of general working experience in a team-oriented setting
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Basic knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Prior experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required

Opportunity to obtain:

● RDA (Registered Dental Assistant)

● CPR/BLS license

● HIPAA/OSHA/WISHA certification
