Job Title: ER Security Officer

Location: Evanston, IL

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 am - 3 pm

Pay: $19 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant ER Security Officer to join our team at a hospital in Evanston, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping maintain a safe and secure environment in the Emergency Room, This role requires a high level of attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to respond quickly to emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol the Emergency Room.
• Help enforce hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Provide a visible and professional security presence.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents and activities during the shift.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Check that all security equipment is functional and report any issues.

Requirements:

• Valid PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card) card.
• Completion of a 20-hour basic security training course.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Prior experience in security, particularly in a healthcare setting, is preferred but not required.
