Position Overview:

As a Security Account Manager, you will manage the security services and related operation services provided to an assigned account. This includes; client service and problem resolution, service enhancement and expansion, new business development, operational effectiveness, preparation of post orders, staffing, scheduling, supervision and training

Job Responsibilities:

  • The functions listed describe the business purpose of this job or position. Specific duties or tasks may vary and be documented separately.   • All assigned duties or tasks are deemed to be part of the essential functions, unless such duties or tasks are unrelated to the functions listed, in which case they are deemed to be other (non-essential) functions.

  • In performing functions, duties or tasks, associates are required to know and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations. Associates are required to notify superiors upon becoming aware of unsafe working conditions. 
  • All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, associates are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives. 
  1. Responsible for the retention, scheduling, and training of 25-35 employees at any given time. Ensuring that their abilities are in accordance with the expectations of the client regarding proprietary software and standard operating procedures.
  1. Acting HR liaison for all Securitas employees staffed on-site. Duties include, but are not limited to, role assessments, counseling, and 1-1 training.
  1. Responsible for maintaining the appropriate skill sets as outlined for a security officer, receptionist, supervisor, or communications officer in the event of any shift coverage needs.
  1. Spearheaded the conversion from the i-Visitor visitor access software to BreezN and subsequently SV3. 
  1. Instituted alarm response procedure for the SiPass audit trail related to access of the Westbrook facility.
  1. Required to troubleshoot access control issues with Siemens and WinDSX affiliated vendors both on-site and off. 
  1. Responsible for the compiling, tracking and incident auditing of all client related disruptions to business continuity, potential or otherwise, which is then disseminated to the communications team for presentation.
  1. Instituted Team & Shift/Site Supervisor notification updates outlining all procedural, operational, and event-based changes, needs, and updates on a weekly basis.
  1. Established the Daily Position Checklist and Badge Generation Trackers for retention purposes to ensure all employees are regularly checking necessary access to applications and to create a timeline of need for potential badge conversion, respectively.
  1. Responsible for the delegation and training in all Contractor Safety Training and Approving Authority document retention policies. Responsible for the routine auditing and compliance of the said safety training. 
  1. Acting law enforcement and government agency liaison in conjunction with internal leadership for the Westbrook World Campus.
  1. Established quarterly Approving Authority and Alarm Escalation Site Contacts audits to coincide with the already existing Quarterly Access Audit.
  1. Created standard operating procedure official documentation for the Westbrook Warehouse Cage Access Control and Concentra Requests. Routinely requested to review standard operating procedure documentation for suggestion on improvement.
  1. Overhauled the existing training program and instituted monthly scenario trainings to better demonstrate the team’s abilities and any standing needs for improvement, encourage conversation regarding procedural improvement, as well as provide opportunities for cross-training to encourage promotion from within.
  1. Works directly with the Program Director and along-side remote site leadership to ensure training obligations are fulfilled across all Securitas staffed client locations.
  2. Tasked with the continued development of newly hired and current employees on-shift with an emphasis on introducing a broader skill set outside of the base designated duties as well as the mentioned restructuring of internal training protocol. These skills include, but are not limited to, emergency action response, advanced access control, appropriate customer service etiquette, situational stress management, time management and task efficiency, accurate and detail-oriented event logging, inbox management, and both verbal and written communication skills. 
  1. Responsible for 24/7 on-call mitigation for all emergency events both client and Securitas related, including but not limited to, appropriate mass notification in accordance with established escalation policy utilizing the Everbridge notification system and distribution groups therein.
  1. Facilitated the expansion of a broader sphere of influence for the Facilities Operations Center to include other client departments, in particular Hospitality, Building Services, and Facilities, in streamlining event assistance from a corporate security perspective.
  1. Ensured to set a standard of exemplary customer service and leadership when dealing with client and Securitas employees as well as outside vendors and contractors all the while promoting an inter-office culture based on teamwork, efficiency, and consistent shift productivity. 

Minimum Qualification at Entry

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position. 

Minimum Hiring Standards

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., pager or phone).
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Education/Experience:

Associate’s degree and 3 or more years of experience in a field related to the security industry and/or business management, and responsible experience in the security industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.

Prior Emergency Preparations Command experience (Law Enforcement, Fire, EMT) is preferred. 

Bilingual is preferred.

ASIS Certification is preferred.

Working Conditions (Physical/Mental Demands)
