Floating Security Officer

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Pay: $18.50-$19.50/hour

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Floating Security Officer will be monitoring and patrolling different client sites on a variety of schedules. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Strong and reliable performance will earn the Officer consideration for assignment to supervisory or other leadership posts. Ideally, Officers will develop career paths to further growth within the Company. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.

Position Requirements: 

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic phone & computer skills
• Calm, polite, and professional behavior
• Able to travel to sites in Salt Lake County and surrounding areas
• High level customer service 
• Availability 7 days a week, across at least 2 shifts: Day/Swing Swing/Grave Day/Grave

Note: All candidates must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Typical Floating Security Officer Activities:

• Support staffing requirements at accounts during shortages due to vacations, call-offs, no shows, suspensions, holidays, etc.
• Assist in start-ups at new accounts to include working the site, writing post orders and training checklists and training newly assigned permanent Security Officers.
• Work special security assignments as required.
• Expect to work on weekends and holidays with limited notice, and work during “high need” periods.
