Position Summary
Responsible for installing, terminating, configuring, and testing enterprise access control, video, and security systems. Responsible for leading the installation team and ensuring projects are installed according to the customer’s requirements and manufacturer’s specifications, operating in the commercial and government sectors.
About the Position
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or others may be assigned at any time.
· Understands the phases of a system installation: cable, equipment, programming, testing, training, and troubleshooting, and is able to perform each of these tasks.
· Evaluates new project opportunities and works with the sales team to win jobs, including proper product selection and determination of scope of work.
· Assists the Project Manager in evaluating the job for proper hours and equipment.
· Ensures that field devices are properly installed and that Security 101 standards are maintained, with focus on the head-end, network, programming, and training
· Maintains organized records and keeps project tracking up to date; includes riser diagrams, submittals, and project closeout documentation.
· Instructs customers on functional operation of the system.
· Drives to service locations as required and maintains assigned company vehicles so they are clean and free of safety defects according to company policy or state law.
· Provides service response occasionally, including on-call responsibilities after normal working hours.

Education and/or Experience:
· High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
· Electronics training from a technical school or military training in electronics or communications preferred
· Minimum of five (5) years of installation experience in low voltage electrical systems - security, intrusion, access control, internet protocol (IP) video surveillance, and intercom systems
· Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a project lead responsible for the complete local project management
· Experience with hand tools test equipment, IP Video Network testing, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer and commissioning devices
· Knowledge of AC/DC theory
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints
· Understanding and be comfort level working with customers’ IP networks
