SEEK Professionals, LLC is Hiring a Field Service Technician Near Horicon, WI

Order Type : DirectHire
The ideal candidate will be dynamic and technically proficient with a strong background in electronics, with significant experience in troubleshooting electronic components. This role requires excellent communication skills as you will frequently interact with customers on-site, providing technical support and resolving issues efficiently. Programming or design experience in electronics would be highly advantageous for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose hardware and software issues, and replace defective components as needed.
  • Ability to read schematics, outline drawings and test plans. Familiar with embedded software.
  • Collaborate effectively with customers to ensure their technical needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Provide training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Document service activities, report on findings, and escalate issues as necessary.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with electronic components.
  • Proficiency in programming and/or electronic design is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline plus 1-year related work experience. Or, completion of an associate degree or technical certificate program in electrical or electro-mechanical engineering, engineering technology or related engineering discipline and 4 years of previous relevant hands-one work experience.
  • Comfortable working independently evaluating, diagnosing and troubleshooting field failures, using a variety of tools and research.
  • Possess a working understanding of machine controls and operation including the interrelationships of electric circuits, motors, hydraulics, oscilloscopes, schematics, and embedded software including C/C .
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
