Position Overview:We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced ICD-10 Medical Billing and Coding Professional to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing and coding procedures, as well as excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

- Review and accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10 coding system
- Verify and submit insurance claims to third-party payers
- Follow up on outstanding claims and denials to ensure timely reimbursement
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding and billing regulations and changes
- Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve coding and billing issues
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations
- Work closely with the billing and collections team to ensure accurate and timely billing processes
- Assist in training and mentoring new coding and billing staff as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Billing and Coding preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding system and medical terminology
- Proficient in using electronic medical records and billing software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
