Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct financial audits to ensure compliance with regulations and identify areas for improvement
- Perform general ledger accounting and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior accounting staff
- Conduct research on complex accounting issues and provide recommendations for resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Utilize accounting software, such as PeopleSoft, to record and analyze financial data
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards
Requirements:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of GAAP principles
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation and account analysis
- Familiarity with wills, trusts, and estate law is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
