Job description

We are working with a client that is located in Fort Lauderdale. They are looking for a Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team, this role is onsite Monday - Thursday and Fridays work from home.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable functions within the organization. This includes processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities

• Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing
• Process expense reports from employees Identify discrepancies and escalate in appropriate manner
• Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses
• Maintain 1099s and generate report at year end

Accounts Payable Specialist Qualifications

• 2 years in accounting or related field
• Great Plains experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
• Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills
• Detail oriented
