What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Accounting position at Segrera Associates?
Segrera Associates is actively recruiting for a VP of Accounting with a well established real-estate company headquartered in Naples, FL. The VP of Accounting is a high visibility position within the company and will report directly to the CFO. This is a great opportunity for someone who has worked for a Real-Estate Developer or Construction company who has a versatile background and skillset and business acumen. You will be overseeing and managing the development accounting team and ensuring they are providing accurate financial reporting, job cost accounting, and audit tax prep for real-estate entities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Accounting oversight for multiple projects; including general ledger activity and job costing.
- Review of costs incurred to budget and ensuring budgets are timely and accurately prepared and monitored
- Assist in preparation of year-end audits
- Review, develop, document accounting procedures
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance or relative industry experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sage 300 software experience is preferred
