Job requirements:
Two years experience at a healthcare facility in a medical receptionist role.
Excellent documentation, communication and IT skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong organizational, administrative and planning skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to urgent/emergent situations.
Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
Working knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations and ICD 10 codes is preferred.
Responsibilities include answering the telephone, greeting and checking patients in/out, scheduling appointments in a timely and professional manor, obtaining and verifying patient information, collecting balances and copayments, ensuring a calm and welcoming environment, maintaining the organization of the office, maintenance and duplication of medical records, providing comfort/support to patients and referral coordination.
