A Chicago based Proprietary Trading Firm is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their executive team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systematic trading and a deep understanding of the proprietary trading industry. The COO will play a pivotal role in overseeing the firm's day-to-day operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the alignment of operational functions with the firm’s overall goals and objectives.

• Technology & Innovation:
• Drive technological innovation and ensure the adoption of the latest advancements in trading technology and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the technology team to develop and maintain cutting-edge trading platforms and tools.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the firm.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulators.
• Represent the firm in industry forums, conferences, and other relevant events.
• Communicate operational performance and strategic initiatives to the board of directors and investors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 9 years of professional experience
• Proven experience in a senior role within a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or similar financial institution.
• Deep understanding of systematic trading, quantitative strategies, and algorithmic trading.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
