My client, an asset management and investment firm specializing in commercial real estate is looking to add a CMBS Portfolio/Research Analyst to their team in California.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Portfolio Manager to provide analytical support to assist in the purchase, sale, monitoring, administration, and reporting of investments
• Responsible for daily data aggregation, including the extraction, organization, and scrubbing of various data sets
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly portfolio related reports, both for internal and external use
• Support all aspects of the portfolio management process

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in computer science, finance, math, or engineering
• 2 years of related work experience
• Extensive knowledge of Excel techniques, languages, and systems required (Macros and VBA)
• Strong interest in financial markets; basic knowledge of fixed income a plus
