In this position, you will:
- Collaborate with trading teams to analyze trading outcomes, linking profit and loss metrics with latency and other infrastructure data.
- Explore how changes in infrastructure technology impact business metrics.
- Conduct research to develop models that assess exchange performance.
- Create mathematical methods to evaluate how specific internal applications influence overall performance.
- Design advanced algorithms to identify new business opportunities, detect performance issues, or pinpoint events affecting profit and loss.
- Contribute to the creation of novel datasets.
- Enhance and refine quantitative research methodologies.
- Perform additional related tasks as needed.
Required Skills:
- Over 3 years of experience programming in Python with a focus on data science and analytics.
- Strong ability to interpret data with a critical mindset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in documenting and presenting analysis to both technical and business stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Background in statistics.
- Experience with SQL is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning techniques is a plus.
- Understanding of network protocols (IP, UDP, TCP, Ethernet) is beneficial.
- Dependable and consistent availability.
