Electrical Engineering Lab Technician

Position: Fulltime

Location: Austin

Compensation: $100k-130K , with a discretionary bonus

An elite trading firm in Austin is seeking an Electrical engineering lab technical to join their team. You'll be working on cutting-edge electrical components that are critical to the firms proprietary trading systems. They're looking for a versatile technician to assist in designing, manufacturing, testing, and repairing their hardware. This role suits Electrical Engineering graduates, or Electrical engineers with less than 3 years of experience, with a innovative mindset and a knack for problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers to ensure efficient and testable system designs.
• Oversee smooth manufacturing operations and assembly work.
• Conduct rigorous testing procedures to guarantee functionality.
• Perform in-house repairs on faulty components.

Must Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Must have proficiency in PCB debugging and mechanical integration.
• Strong knowledge of circuit design
• Required: experience working in a lab setting
• GPA over 3.4

Preferred Qualifications:

• Software engineering skills, especially in Python and C/C .
• Experience with post-silicon bring-up and debugging.
• Soldering and 3D/CAD design proficiency.

This position is based in Austin and requires on-site work. At this time, the firm is unable to accept visa sponsorship.
