Role Overview:
One of the most promising, up-and-coming Private Equity shops is looking to expand their team at the Vice President level in 2025. Based in the heart of Nashville, TN, the team takes a generalist approach to their investment mandates. They're incredibly entrepreneurial and have seen amazing success with their primary investments. As an Vice President, you will play an integral role in all aspects of the deal process.
Private Equity Vice President Responsibilities:
- Identify and source new investment opportunities aligned with the firm’s strategic focus.
- Lead the due diligence process for potential investments, coordinating with internal teams (e.g., finance, legal) and external advisors (e.g., consultants, auditors).
- Manage, mentor, and develop junior team members, including Associates and Analysts, to build technical and leadership capabilities within the firm.
- Contribute to the firm’s overall investment strategy and portfolio composition, providing insights on market trends, sector dynamics, and competitive positioning.
- Assist in fundraising efforts and maintaining strong relationships with the firm’s investors.
Qualifications for the Private Equity Vice President:
- At least 4-7 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or management consulting, with a demonstrated track record of successful deal execution and portfolio management.
- Experience in leading all aspects of investment processes, including sourcing, structuring, and executing transactions.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis.
- Proven ability to drive value creation and achieve operational improvements within portfolio companies.
