Job Title:Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
Location: 384 Wright Brothers Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84116
Duration:12 Months
Pay Rate/Range:$28.86/hr on w2
Role Summary/Purpose:
Exercises independent discretion in performing a full array of maintenance related work requiring skill in trouble shooting, repairing, installation necessary to ensure efficient facility operation.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Advanced troubleshooting, repairs, modifies, installs, maintains, and modernizes new or existing facility systems and equipment, could include refrigeration equipment
• Perform daily monitoring, repair and preventative maintenance activities on critical systems and facility equipment
• Required to do other maintenance work in addition to that listed, such as rough carpentry, electrical and plumbing
• Performs other work whenever it is conducive to efficient operations and/or maintaining business operations, including project direction, layout work, and planning of equipment installations
• Working with others to implement injury prevention and compliance initiatives
• Provide support for facility related projects, including Contractor Management
• Assist in compliance inspections and EHS program implementation as requested
• Short-distance driving, including dock operations & maneuvering of a commercial box truck to and from offsite warehouse
• Conduct Pre-trip Inspections
• Safely transport material between Client operation buildings
Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the Client Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Knowledge and understanding of production process work instructions and operates within them to ensure that equipment conforms to its specifications
5. Ensures the creation of accurate, complete, and timely records.
Qualifications/Requirements
1. High school diploma/or local equivalent or Technical School degree or equivalent experience of 5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance in a manufacturing environment
2. Demonstrated verbal and written communications
3. Thorough understanding of facility support systems including electrical, heating/cooling, and plumbing systems
4. Three years’ experience in manufacturing facility maintenance
5. Appropriate certification or license if required by local regulatory agencies
6. Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license (non-CDL)
7. Obtain a DOT Medical Examiners Certificate within 90 days of employment and maintain the certification
8. Successfully complete a written and practical driving exam for type of vehicle operated
9. Pass a pre-employment motor vehicle background screening, and annually thereafter
