- The Mechanical Designer creates designs and technical documentation for mechanical devices and equipment.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial automated equipment, gear reduction, servo and VFD drives, etc. Works well independently and with a team.
- Customer interaction to help establish machinery requirements and determining automated processes.
- Traveling to customer facilities to discuss and understand manufacturing process and concepts.
- Design and manage complete machine assemblies while maintaining company design procedures.
- Delivering design presentations with both internal and customer teams to ensure all requirements are satisfied.
- Tracking design progress of multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously and ensuring design consistency.
- Creation of documentation for the machine build process.
- Interaction and cooperation with other departments. (Machining, Welding, Purchasing, Assembly).
- High Mechanical Aptitude
- Complex problem solving
- Autodesk Inventor experience (or similar)
- AutoCAD Macros, Visual Basic, and Excel skills desirable
- Strong Communication Skills
- Works well under pressure
- Machining and assembly experience
- $25 33/hr, dependent on experience
