They feel that with hard work, comes independence, pride, self-esteem, and sense of purpose. They are looking to add a Assistant Store Manager , to their growing team
Responsibilities :
- Assist in overseeing the schedules and work of staff.
- Assists manager in efforts to reach profit, performance, and customer service goals.
- Oversees retail operations, especially customer service, to ensure excellence.
- Coordinates communication with retail staff.
- Works to meet retail performance standards including operating loss control and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Keeps informed of product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive pricing through comparative shopping of competitors.
- Oversees and assists with the preparation of all branch reports for approval by manager.
- Attends and participates in periodic staff meetings.
- Ensures good stewardship of all donations when manager is absent.
- Notifies Retail Store Manager of employee performance and in accordance with company policy.
- Train, develop, and supervise Store Associates on job duties as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the framework of companies principles and values.
Education & Experience :
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of retail experience is preferred.
- At least one year of leadership experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent personal and professional leadership skills.
- Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure.
- A passion for serving others.
Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
- Able to perform tasks that require repetitive motion (i.E., tagging or hanging clothes). Manual dexterity is required.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds with no support regularly.
