The Director of Environmental Operations is responsible for overseeing and enhancing our environmental programs, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and driving initiatives that support our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

The ideal candidate will have a strong operational background with the ability to manage and improve productivity, scheduling, and crew management.

• Leadership and Strategy : Develop and implement strategic environmental policies and programs that align with company goals and regulatory requirements.
• Team Development : Manage and mentor Field Supervisors and their teams. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and teamwork.

Assist in managing and growing the team.

Productivity Improvement : Implement processes to enhance productivity, optimize scheduling, and ensure efficient use of labor.

Collaborate with the sales team to pre-plan labor costs and schedules.

• Compliance Management : Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations and standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and ensure the company’s operations adhere to these standards.
• Sustainability Initiatives : Lead initiatives to promote sustainability within the company. This includes the development and implementation of programs related to renewable energy, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource conservation.

Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely reporting.

• Stakeholder Engagement : Serve as the primary point of contact for environmental issues. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry groups, and community organizations.
• Innovation and Research : Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in environmental management.

Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in environmental performance.

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, particularly in the energy sector.
• Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
