Primary Purpose
Sempra Infrastructure seeks an outstanding transactional attorney with expertise in the energy industry, who will oversee matters related to the Energia Costa Azul LNG project, including project development, joint venture implementation, corporate governance, M&A, regulatory (including affiliate transactions) and compliance issues. The successful candidate will have a deep and nuanced understanding of the LNG industry and will coordinate with internal and external specialized consultants to ensure the project is and remains in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for designated project(s) and business(es).
Day-to-day activities will include (i) review, analysis, interpretation and administration of O&M, project administration and construction management agreements, LNG sale and purchase agreements, natural gas supply and transportation agreements, interconnection agreements, as well as other project contracts; and (ii) interaction with both domestic and international counterparties and collaboration with multi-functional teams in support of the designated project(s) and business(es) and Sempra Infrastructure's business at large.

Current member in good standing of a bar in U.S Jurisdiction, with strong preference for admission in California or Texas. Required. Member in good standing of the California Bar or another U.S Jurisdiction..
**Applicants not currently admitted to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction, but that can prove eligibility to sit for a bar exam within any state in the U.S. within the next two cycles (July 2024 and/or February 2025) may be evaluated in a case-by-case basis; provided however, that (i) until you are admitted into a U.S. jurisdiction, you will not be able to practice law in the U.S. and (ii) failure to seek admission to practice in the U.S. within the allotted time and without prior authorization by your direct supervisor and human resources, may result in termination.
