Job Summary :

The Basic Companion at Senior Helpers - Fairfax will be responsible for providing companionship and basic support to senior clients in the Fairfax area.

This individual will play a crucial role in improving the overall well-being and quality of life for our elderly clients.

The Basic Companion will work full-time, on a salary basis, in the healthcare / medical industry.

Must have computer knowledge.

Compensation & Benefits :

This position offers a competitive salary of $15 to $17 per hour, paid biweekly

Responsibilities :

• Provide companionship and emotional support to senior clients
• Engage in activities and hobbies with the clients to promote mental stimulation
• Assist clients with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and dishwashing
• Accompany clients to appointments or activities as needed
• Assist with basic meal preparation and feeding, as needed
• Help with medication reminders and monitoring of daily medications
• Report any changes or concerns regarding clients' health or well-being to the appropriate individual
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities and tasks completed
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, coworkers, and supervisors
• Uphold the values and mission of Senior Helpers - Fairfax in all interactions and responsibilities

Requirements :

• MUST have computer knowledge
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with senior or elderly clients preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
