The Talent Acquisition Specialist will have the unique opportunity to attract and help select caregivers to assist our clients living at home & potentially continue their careers in a healthcare environment. Responsibilities:

  • Recruit a diverse pool of CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants), HHAs (Home Health Aides), nursing students and caregivers throughout St Joseph and Elkhart counties.
  • Create, test, and implement recruitment strategies/processes.
  • Nurture recruitment relationships with our own medical academy and other healthcare training programs.
  • Work with Legacy Medical Academy leaders to develop strategies that promote the program within the community.
  • Proactively research and investigate innovative sourcing strategies and sources both active and passive candidates through all viable avenues.
  • Develop and strategize applicant sources by researching and nurturing meaningful in-person referral relationships.
  • Conduct recruitment presentations and attend job fairs, career events, non-traditional recruitment events and networking opportunities to potential caregivers who want to make a difference.
  • Perform functions related to the hiring process, which will include promoting the available positions, interviewing candidates when needed.
  • Meet recruitment hiring goals by working closely with other team members.
  • Prepare advertisements and job postings as well as using newsgroups and job sites to promote opportunities at Senior1Care and Legacy Medical Academy.
  • Arrange interviews by coordinating schedules as necessary.
  • Provide input and updates to the onboarding/orientation process.
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Will be On-Call Backup every 4 weeks coordinated by the Executive Director
  • Provide assistance and backup as necessary for the orientation of new hires.
  • Administer quality assurance phone calls/contact with new hires during the first 10 days of employment

Qualifications:

  • Homecare/Healthcare experience a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation to cover appointments and visits throughout the recruitment territory.
  • Excellent written communication and customer service skills
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to prioritize, follow up, and work independently with a flexible schedule.
  • Proven leadership skills, motivating and developing people.
  • Must be proficient with computer applications, mobile apps, job boards, applicant tracking programs, Microsoft Office products and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of referral sources, CNA certification, and recruitment experience a plus
  •  Bachelor’s degree preferred
