General Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and disclosures for external financial reporting, including 10Q, 10K, 8K, Form 4, earnings, proxy, and other financial reporting as required
- Implement and maintain procedures to ensure the timely accumulation of information necessary for financial reporting functions
- Interface effectively with numerous individuals both inside and outside the Company, including the external auditors, to address and resolve accounting issues
- Lead the research and implementation of new accounting pronouncements and SEC rules and provide technical accounting support to the organization
- Responsible for the technical analysis of the effects of implementation of all newly issued guidance, including comparative analysis of implementation impact
- Subject matter expert in equity accounting management
- Prepares financial statements
- Independently research technical topics and communicate results to financial executives
- Play key role in the design of financial controls
- Participate in the preparation of quarterly press releases, scripts for quarterly earnings call, annual proxy statements, debt prospectuses, and other documents filed with the SEC and/or other regulatory agencies
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
